1. Overcoming Stereotypes and Finding Your Passion with Cam Doomany
On this episode, Joey Stanizzi and Dylan Schuett give opinionated answers on the topic of the day - Are seasons really going to start on time/are analysts overestimating start times?
Later in the episode, they interview the episode's guest, Cam Doomany. From player to coach, Cam started off playing goalie growing up, playing for the Mid Fairfield Blues, a well-known dominant team, but he was the backup the majority of the time. He ended up going to a Mitch Korn's camp where he was then introduced to coaching. He was good at it so he ran with it. He started working for Stop it Goaltending, a goalie school based out of Massachusetts and quickly climbed the ranks. He has been undervalued at times because of his young age. Well, proving people wrong, he was just recently hired as goalie coach of Bentley University at 23 years old.
Listen to the episode below to hear how Cam overcame the stereotypical "inexperience" of a young 23-year-old.
